Ever since I finished culinary school, I started to teach what I’ve learned. Either by writing about food and cooking, but also in in my cooking classes.
Chef Culinary Program at Campbell Adult School
For the Campbell Community Education (aka an Adult School) I designed a great program with all cooking classes that I would like to attend myself. But oh, I’m teaching them. 😉 I guess that’s even more fun. Looking at the program I designed, you can easily tell what countries inspired me and how much I love veggies.
Have a look at the complete program for this season.
I also work as a lead instructor at the cooking studio Savory Kitchen in San Jose. Here we do a lot of private and corporate events, but also public classes. Those can be menu based, cooked and served by you, and paired with beautiful wines from small (mostly local) producers. But we also do skills classes, in which we spend most of the time cooking and just nibble from the food we make.
Here are the coming classes that I teach.
I also work as a cooking instructor for Big City Chefs. These are private events, either in the comfort of your own home or on another private location.
So if you want to learn from me in person, sign up for the events that I teach. Here’s the overview of all the future public classes that I teach in the Bay Area!
I firmly believe you’ll learn most by making mistakes!
When I lived in The Netherlands, I developed the cooking course that I was looking for before I ended up in culinary school. In my course Cooking for Culi’s I taught curious home cooks what happens in their pots and pans, by doing lots of experiments. Purposely failing to bake a steak, for example. Maybe a bit of a waste of the meat, but you’ll win by learning from it. Cause I firmly believe you’ll learn most by making mistakes!
I’m still thinking about a way to bring this course to the San Francisco Bay Area. Interested? Leave a comment below, or shoot me an email.
Do you have other ideas or wishes about learning how to cook with me? Let me know!
